Although not the main character in Final Fantasy X, Wakka is without doubt the one that most players loved the most. With his wacky dress sense, never-ending quips and heart when he’s in a fight, he is the character that most players turned to when their back was against the wall. But what was it about this great character that drew so many towards him?

Why people love Wakka!

Within Final Fantasy X Wakka was a pivotal character who was undoubtedly in the thick of the action during any fight. As his character started reasonably strong and was easy to build up afterwards, he never suffered from being left out of the group, instead always being strong enough to beat the toughest of enemies. His weaponry too was a notch above the others, as he wielded a blitzball with supreme accuracy. Not only did this do devastating attacks to ground based enemies, but it also enabled him to be the only member of the group to attack flying monsters with physical attacks effectively. This strength and versatility is the first reason why Wakka is so loved.

The other reasons are more general, but just as important. The fact that the player used him to play blitzball was one lovable factor (even if he wasn’t too good), and another reason that he was liked was due to his laid back attitude towards even the toughest situation.
